This post will help you create Facebook pixel and install FB pixel on to your website. Once your pixel starts showing green bit dot that means that your pixel is working now.
Create and Add Facebook Pixel
To create Facebook pixel go to Business Settings and then to Data Sources
- Business Settings
- Data Sources
- Click Add button
- Name your pixel and enter your website URL
- Click Continue
- Go for Set Up the Pixel now
- Go for Set Up Manually
- Copy Facebook Pixel Code
- Add or paste it to your website <head> tag
- Scroll down the current Window
- Enter your website URL to send test traffic
- Click Continue
- Wait for an hour or so
- Come back and check the Event Manager for page views
If you have already created Facebook pixel for your website and would like to add/install FB pixel on your website, follow the following steps.
Install FB Pixel from Event Manager
If you have already created Facebook pixel then start installing it with the help of FB Event Manager.
- Go to FB Event Manager
- Select Pixel from the list on the left
- Click Continue Pixel Setup
- Select Facebook Pixel
- Click Connect
- Manually add pixel code to website
- Copy the FB pixel base code
- Add this base code to you website head tag
- Click Continue
- Turn on Automatic Advanced Matching
- Click Continue
- Click Open Event Set up tool
- Enter website URL and enter
- Click Continue
- Verify your domain name
- Add your domain name
- Copy verification meta tag
- Paste it in your website head tag
- Click Verify Domain – Verified ✔
- Check everything after some time.
